Mai Khot Power
Mai Khot Power is the biggest coal energy production project in Shan State being developed by Sahakol Equipment PCL (SQ) and its local partner; Golden Lake, containing 30 years of concession for coal mining and 690 MW (net) ultra-supercritical coal-fired power plants which will produce clean electricity for domestic distribution as well as export to Thailand on basis of a 30-year BOT.
In 2019, the Project has been revived in Eastern Shan State after long-term suspension continuing with further steps of development. The coal mine and power plant are expected to be fully operated in 2027.
